Video Blog 2: Melissa

I have created this video blog as I feel the majority of my audience are unaware about depersonalization,  so creating a blog gives the character a chance to reach out to the audience and basically tell them how she feels and what she feels. I have done this with a "hectic background" to make it seem like a teenage like area.

Have you ever doubted your existence and confused a dream with real life? It just happens. Something inside you changes. The thoughts running through your head seem different, unfamiliar, you feel detached from everything around you.
No colour, no life, just escape. Am I insane? No, I'm normal, this is normal. So what happens now? Do we run? No. We smile. We smile because we know something's wrong and these questions need answering in this time of solitude.

And then I wake up with the sudden realization. I am alone.

These are photos I have taken using a Canon SLR. I realised I didn't have any images of Melissa and Niamh together, so I figured I ought to take some.

Filming Practice

Me and a group of students thought it would beneficial to do a practice film. This would help us prepare for shots we were planning to use, and practice the harder shots such as the dolly and vertigo. this also gave us a chance at editing footage and applying music to that footage.

These sound track ideas are from the genres of industrial metal, dubstep, ambient, grunge, and electronic, these aren't really mainstream genres of music which is what i like about the songs as they fit with the genre and characters. The characters don't tend to be normal and fit in anywhere, much like these genres of music. 

Organising actors and times

Using the idea of media convergence I thought it be best appropriate using facebook to contact my actors, it's a fast and easy way to get hold of people and allows me to printscreen the evidence.
